About Jaci

I have been painting professionally for over thirty years, mostly here in the UK following a move from my native Queensland in Australia to the cooler climes of a thirty-acre lake in South Gloucestershire.

I produced most of my early work in acrylics, finding commercial success with flower paintings and exhibiting every year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show from 2004 to 2019. In 2019 I began working in soft pastels, and a temporary move to America together with lockdown gave me the opportunity to explore new subject matter in a new medium.

Today I work primarily in soft pastels and pastel pencils. My main focus is capturing the beauty, movement and colour of seas and oceans, alongside a continuing series of wildlife studies.

Most of all, I love to work on commissions. I am fortunate to have work dotted around the globe, but it is in the UK where most of my paintings hang, in the homes of customers, many of whom have become friends. I love the whole journey of working with someone to create exactly what they can see and want in their home.
